A rate increase with a tax credit for wages paid to employees and related payroll taxes.
If the justification for preserving the Bush tax cuts for the highest income earners is that they are the job creating engine, then the response should be to raise their rates but give them a tax credit for wages paid to employees and related payroll taxes.

If you don't have employees then you don't get the tax credit.

Argument over. Slobbering right wing talking points checkmated.

2. Should read "American (citizen/naturalized/enrolled in naturalizaion class)" employees ...
then there are a few other issues to be corrected...They also do not get away with slave labor, product inspections that return poisonous and unsafe products, etc...but good starting point, I guess.

related payroll taxes.

The amount taxed is only AFTER all the wages have been deducted (and all other expenses). If they took all their profits and put it into hiring, their taxes wouldn't go up by one dime.

5. You are correct. That's why a tax credit is distinguishable from a deduction & much more valuable.
