Grayson to be honored ..
* Defeated U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando, the liberal flamethrower and video fabulist who became a national GOP target, will be honored next month as "Democrat of the Year" by the Democratic Club of Boca Raton and Delray Beach.

ETA: The very fact that the goppers invested so much money and
effort into defeating him testifies what a good man Grayson is.

10. He needs to run again, maybe in a different state, and this time
for the Senate. Lots of politicians lose races only to come back stronger and better later on.

He deserves to be honored for all he has done to fight for the people he represented.

14. Grayson's district is changing.
The district was heavily conservative as little as ten years ago, but has swung moderate and seems to be headed more liberal, like the southern part of the state. I visit there for business, the region is getting a bigger hispanic population and retirees from the north. In addition, it is becoming highly urban, the region used to be heavy into farming. A moderate democrat can easily retake that seat in 2012.

13. Unfortunately those cities are well outside of his district.
Grayson would do well in the area where those two cities are, but his district is in Central Florida. A moderate democrat could be primed to take Grayson's old seat in two years time, Central Florida is becoming more liberal, but leans Moderate-conservative, the region used to be highly conservative.
