7. He's going to run

He's 67, which, if nothing else, falls into the age range for the GOP's preferred old white guy range. He has an ego that dwarfs Palin's. His political career "ended" on a sour note so he's got something to prove. He's been making the rounds, talking to the religiously insane kingmakers in the party, and he's been spewing the kind of pseudo-religious talk they like to hear about things, and he's been mentioning finding redemption after all his naughty sexual conduct so God has forgiven him and is on his side.

He's running.
