Senator Chuck Schumer said
who came out today to say that Dems should let all tax cuts expire instead of caving to the GOP--his number is 202-224-6542.

just got this email
I wanted to send you a quick update on this morning's email. I originally listed Valerie Jarett's Chief of Staff's phone number, which is the best way to get through directly, but so many people called that they shut down that number.
You should now call her other office number, which is 202-456-1190. If they shut that down, call the WH switchboard at the White House at 202-456-1414. You just have to talk your way past the WH operator.
My sources tell me they are at the VP’s house right now deciding how long they can make the extension and not have people think they are caving. Call and tell them that extending tax cuts for millionaires past December 31st is unacceptable..
Also, please call:
Harry Reid at 202-224-3542. His Chief of Staff's name is David Krone and his email is david_krone@reid.senate.gov.
DNC Chairman Tim Kaine at 202-863-8000.
Senator Chuck Schumer of NY, who came out today to say that Dems should let all tax cuts expire instead of caving to the GOP--his number is 202-224-654

you've already lost The Game.

11. What you fail to recognize is that they are not longer the "Bush" tax cuts.
Rather, the would be seen as the Obama tax hikes.

Moreover, you will have a hard time finding any economist that advocates raising taxes when an economy is doing as poorly as ours is.

16. So you believe that tax breaks for the rich stimulate
the economy and create jobs? Where have you been for the last 30 years? It's not "RAISING" taxes it's returning them to the state they were in in 1999. Do you really think a 3% tax increase on the wealthy is going to destroy the economy? Gimme a break.

17. Probably not, but if he had not negotiated, everyone's taxes would have been raised.
And that would have surely harmed our economy.

6. Whoa .......... I was responding to post #1
I just called Reid and left him a message....
I hope you were not asking me why I thought doing one's job that they were elected to do was more important vs only doing things to get re-elected.

8. No, I got an email about Schumer, link below
Amidst the talk of capitulation, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) suggested that rather than extend current rates for two years in exchange for other tax-cut goodies and unemployment insurance, the party might simply let all the tax cuts expire. After all, the president could come back next Congress and build his own package of middle-class tax cuts, branded under the Obama (not Bush) name.
