Mind if I say something about John Lennon?

I'd prefer it if we celebrated his life, on his birthday.

Celebrate his music, his quirky sense of humor, his love of life.

Don't celebrate or even memorialize the day a fundy wack job shot him.

1. So when's his birthday?

I think I was 10 when he was assassinated but I'm not sure.

3. Birthday...October 9th, 1940.

He would be 70 now.

2. As a fan of his music, I agree completely...

He was, however, IMHO, a real asshole most of his life.

I will still celebrate his gift, and I will always condemn that fundy asshat that shot him down.

I am a Beatles fan since age 5, and I will always love them all.

Especially when he drank.

He was human.
He screwed up, he learned from his screw-ups at times.

5. It's hard not to remember.

It was a day and a feeling that doesn't really ever go away.

I don't think about the fundy wack job, I think about the man we miss.

6. Yes, that night and the next day

is something I can't forget. I have to remember - for my generation, it was like Kennedy getting shot. It made too much of an impact on my life.
