Seven Italian bicyclists killed by driver high on pot
At least seven cyclists were killed and four injured on Sunday when a car drove into a group of amateur club riders in Calabria, southern Italy, local police told AFP.

“There are seven dead and four injured,” said police at Lamezia Terme, the city where the accident happened. Subsequent news reports raised the number of fatalities to eight."

<>

"Tests on the driver showed that he was under the influence of cannabis at the time of the accident, ANSA reported."

3. "Do not smoke pot before running down bicyclists..."
...is always good advice. Do they say why he ran them down?

4. But I thought pot was like, good fer you n' stuff.
And it's actually better if people use pot instead of alcohol. It's kind of like a vitamin and totally harmless.

GO, WEED!!!

regarding a pot related accident.

No mention of anything else in his system... interesting.

11. Why, because it contradicts your worldview?
I know, it must be difficult.

12. no, because there is something else that is a factor here
unless you retain a simplistic worldview wherein Marijuana intoxication can actually cause this. I guarantee you there are other factors at play here despite your fervent desire to the contrary.

18. the story did mention drugs (plural) in his system....
and also said that he has already been deemed a reckless driver, whether he was stoned or not, as that is why he lost his license.

but of course, it must be that it was the pot that did it!

22. It's a news story.
Smoke lots of pot and your reaction time falls through the floor. That makes you a shitty driver, and more likely to kill someone.

No fearmongering, just facts. Try to learn to tell the difference. :eyes:

16. The doctor I work for prescribes pot.
He is very firm about not using machinery like a car after medicating among many things he warns against. It isn't done. This is why pot needs to be legalized and then regulated like alcohol.
