1. Matthews and Alter are, with straight faces, advocating for their own tax cuts.

In a few months, we're going to have to have a "very serious look" at Social Security because the deficits are too high. :eyes: They're coming for it.

2. Obama is trying to do what

he thinks will help more people. 98% will keep their tax cut. People on this page want everything their way just like the repuks. 2% payroll reduction middle class tax relief. The american people voted for this mess in November so let them lump it.

I'm sure that Obama has studied the Clinton model realizes that he must now move to the center.

4. The Center is to the slight left of Obama. The Right is so far Right that what you call the center

as you perceive it is far more conservative than before. This may not reflect the people but only reflects the make up of the Government.

8. I am responding to your comment on what is "center". At heart, I do not think he is Conservative

but in reality he is being pushed that way and also has not made it clear on why he has allowed some horrible decisions in regards to the environment to continue on. There are a few other areas that I would appreciate clarity on also such as DADT and his keeping conservative people around him to aid in some of the questionable decision making.
