Fiscal responsibility will be the catch phrase of 2012. If Democrats haven't exemplified it between now and then, Democrats and Obama will be on the sidelines for 4 years.

The thought of another GOP POTUS and Congress should put fear in our hearts. Which is why Obama and the Democrats must quit following the Republicans lead like scared little puppies. I sent the following to Pelosi tonight. If you think any part of it is worthwhile feel free to take it.

-------

I support ending the tax cuts FOR ALL even though it will cost me personally. It is time we take responsibility for the debt instead of kicking the can down the road.

Furthermore I would support substantially increasing the marginal tax rate for those on top who have benefited the most and cost us so much such as the Wall St. bankers.

Democrats can either step up and take the lead as an opposition Party with fiscal responsibility, or duck for cover and step aside and do what the GOP wants. Kick the reckless spending GOP in the bxlls by ending the tax cuts and proclaim Democrats as the Party of responsibility now.

Take the offense.

3. Sure, but Democrats must take the lead or we will have nothing
The Democrats have been put in no win situation (if they decide to accept it and go along with extending the cuts) and that will end up hurting the USA, increasing the deficit, and allowing the tax cuts to become permanent in 2012, and permitting the GOP to starve every existing non-corporate handout program.

They must take an initiative and knock the GOP off balance. The GOP will use the deficit and debt as a huge hammer in 2012.

When it comes to unemployment benefit extension why doesn't Obama use an executive order to protect the security and well being of the USA citizens?
