2. If he had said a month ago that he would use his veto pen, we wouldn't be here...
Instead, by saying he would not let tax cuts for the middle class expire and not mentioning the veto, he signaled this deal.

12. You're going to lose that post to the woodchucks.
"Wussy" would have been a better choice, but I don't even think that will fly here in the (ahem!) "underground". :smoke:

The Republicans are gloating? Are we gonna have to put up with more of statements like " How's that Hopey, Changey thing working out for ya?" or... "Get over it, We won the House!". or .. "Put a Fork in Obama, he's done!"

I have a feeling the year 2011 will not start out good for anyone. (Except the Ultra Rich, they will be drinking their champaign and toasting the rest of us as "punks".)

21. Gee, do you think, really, that it "will not start out good for anyone"?
I think it's going to start out in the darkest place we've been since about 1929. Possibly 1876. Or 61.

And that's that he is farther right than anyone knew, and that he's giving away the store because he wants to.

11. In other words he lied his way into office.
Just as Bush did. He ran for office from the Center, then when he got in, he went immediately to the Right.

22. I can't even listen to him talk any more.
I'm so sick of hearing his lame excuses for rolling over and letting the GOP walk all over him.

I can't believe I was gung ho for this guy two years ago. I defended him until his crawfishing on health care made it obvious he would not fight for the causes we embrace and represent.

He's done irreparable damage to the party. I don't know how we put Humpty Dumpty back together.
