One TERM president who does not understand
that politics is war.

What you saw today was a PHYRRIC victory...

That is all.

(apparently pointing this out is uncouth round these parts)

25. It disgusts me that people continue to defend him. How much more
will he have to do before they realize what's going on?! This country is coming apart at the seams and they act like everything is fine

7. I've already emailed the white house asking Obama to please not
run for a second term. I said that the party needs the chance to find a real Democrat who will fight for the party's values and the people of this country. Fat chance he'll listen but I hope lots of people send him that message.

23. The party would have a chance to recoup and find a real Demo candidate
if Obama was impeached, but that would mean 2 years of Repub control - so what else is new?

26. I was talking about not running again...not impeachment.
But the republican leadership has already announced their plans to "look into" all the white house's activities. I"m sure that means they'll "Ken Starr" him.

29. Some real basic US Government
If the President got impeached in the House and INDICTED in the Senate, only way to remove from office, the Vice President, that would be Biden, is next in line.

22. Yes, I must be a freeper because I think that our president has betrayed the
people who put him in office. He has gone back on every major campaign promise he made, and has been giving away the store to the Republicans. I'm disgusted, and disappointed, and I'm fed up with people trying to defend his actions when it is so obvious that he does NOT have a Democratic bone in his body. He continues to sell us out at every turn while spouting the need for bipartisanship. As far as I'm concerned, he can slink back to Chicago in 2012. We need a REAL Democrat in office.

27. You called him a "bastard."
Of course you're wrong about the "promises" thing too.

Promise Kept 123
Compromise 40
Promise Broken 24

There's a few more added to the kept list after today too.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises

Who do you propose for 2012?

So I think he gets it.

And as far as being "uncouth" you have something in common with McConnell.

17. But he's no quitter. And careful what you wish for.
Why some are so detached from the reality of having to deal with crazy-ass Republicans is beyond me.

They won't go away, and their Congressional numbers for next year only increased.

You may be "done", but Obama won't just disappear just because some of you are pissed off. He'll deal with these asshats as a President has to do.

To me it looks like the ongoing trend of regressive wealth transfer will gain momentum if Congress allows this plan.

31. Here
A Pyrrhic victory ( /pɪrɪk/) is a victory with devastating cost to the victor; it carries the implication that another such victory will ultimately cause defeat.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrrhic_victory

I did not chose the term just because. It has very specific meaning.
