I love Obama.
You hear me? I love the dude. He's a human being, just like I am, just like you are. And he's done all this good shit with his life. I'm a fuck up. I admire that.

I think the best thing we can do is love those we disagree with. Hating this dude isn't going to make shit better. It's wrong that the tax cut deal looks like it's done, but hating on each other and Obama isn't going to solve it.

We have to organize. We may have lost this battle, but we're not going to lose this war.

Simply put, this system that puts the people at the top before the people at the bottom, instead of treating all classes like real human beings, it needs to be ended.

The people who run this nation have a choice:
1. Deal with peaceful/non-violent people now
2. Deal with angry violent people later

Eventually the greed at the top will collapse this country, and I think it's coming sooner rather than later. This system is simply not recognizing the needs of the vast majority, without giving up undue benefits to the vast minority. Eventually, that's going to piss people off.

2. Then we need to figure out how to have the democrats and republicans on the
bottom work together.
That is the only way. One party, the way it is set up now, can not do it.
It will take the total bottom to fight the top.

7. True. I don't 'love' Obama. I do like and admire him, but am disappointed in him
and his actions as President.

i'm not happy that the rich win again, but at least people whose unemployment was running out will be able to put food on the table for their families.

8. He's a pleasant fellow. He'd make a decent neighbor.
He seems not to have the same traits of leadership we have seen in the past from Democratic presidents such as FDR, LBJ or Clinton. His skills at getting passed things are limited.

The criticisms of him are mainly his lack of commitment to basic ideals we embrace as Democrats and refusal to use the power of his office to fight for our side.

9. He is a good man
Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 04:41 AM by Riftaxe
however as a neighbor I could do without him, he promises to much and does not even bother attempting to fulfill them.

I am 100% behind Candidate Obama, he however does not feel the need to even attempt to reciprocate. Heck, he does not even to pretend he is working on what he has promised me...for some reason, i can not see that not biting him in the ass in 2012.

11. Every damn day
his promises are turning out be lies, why the heck would i go door to door for him again?

4.2% i could handle, not lifting the god dang cap...who owns him again, oooh those lobbyists that he has welcomed into the white house, even tho he said...ah screw it, he has no integrity, even the most base of us can post his rhetoric and it not hold up well against what he has chosen pursue.
