Kicking down the road...
tax cuts for the rich? kicked two years down the road.

pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan? kicked two years down the road.

So why the two years? well, another major election is in two years, that's why.

And while the media and our various faux political leaders gear up for the merits of keeping the taxes and staying in Iraq, during the next election cycle, what will those two topics be used as a smoke screen to hide?

Meh.

The question that remains and the one we all have to live with is, because the future for unemployed Americans is now, what will the our lives be like between then and now?

How will out of work people get jobs? How will they feed their families? How will they pay their bills?

There is an old African proverb: when two elephants fight, only the grass suffers.

And to add to that proverb, hyenas look on waiting for the remains.

We all get dazed in these moments of "macro" minutia during these "grand" moments of political theater, which I might add, are also greatly inflated to keep various political actors careers from turning into "B" players.

And while we are "dazed", those same political actors forget completely and thoroughly about us. We let them. And to them, it's a grudge match of the stupid egos. To many of us, it's life and death.

So while we scream and yell about how fair or unfair this compromise is, remember this: right now at this moment people are still losing their homes, trying to figure out how to feed their families, deciding which is more important; medical bills or eating.

I refuse to buy into this political charade anymore. Until the people of this nation are front and center regarding jobs, everything else is a sideshow.

This whole mess totally disgusts me.
