Time to turn the game around....Get the baggers upset about the DEFECIT
Edited on Wed Dec-08-10 10:38 AM by Boxerfan
I mean I believe although misguided-there are a lot of good Americans doing what they think is right.Having been isolated to bad news sources- Fox & other - they just are right about being angry but for all the wrong reasons.

Well the defecits were the main reason they gave for being angry. I think the fact this deal adds to the defecit should be mentioned OFTEN.

1. Yep and make sure they are so upset too that they keep unemployment benefits
away from 2 million people whose benefits are soon to expire right before Christmas.

3. Okay how do we get it through the Senate? if we defeat the Bush tax cut
do you think the GOP will go along with passing Unemployment Extensions especially the tea baggers who ran against them? If the compromise goes down in this congress it won't be taken up again until next year and in the meanwhile lots of people will suffer and the next senate will have even more Republicans to filibuster.

5. I still say no deal-The Republicans are bullies.Only way to win is stand ground
There is enough misery right now to convince me it won;t get better after the Republicans take charge. Only by exposing the true priorities will we win. The media is broke so the only real way the ignorant masses will learn is by example.

Never give ground to bullies.

In doing so we will have a chance in 2012. On this path we loose.

4. Do you think they'd prefer tax increases?
All of the tax cut extensions will add to the deficit, not just the ones for the rich. But the teabaggers don't want to reduce the deficit by raising any taxes. Nor, for the most part, do they want to cut military spending, Social Security, Medicare or other government programs that they themselves use. They want to reduce the deficit without having to make any sacrifices. Actually, I think they really just want the black man out of the White House.

7. Messaging -They ARE getting tax cuts & will continue to do so...
Think of the people??. We are being hosed to death just slower than a bullet.

We have to make them fight for the upper 2% in public. Even the dim may get it.

9. Keep trying though
We need all the ideas we can come up with. Some will work. Some won't. No big deal.

See you later.
