Why are there so many more Ds complaining about tax cut deal than R's? Axelrod jokes:"Theyre better at stifling dissent than we are."

1. LOL--that is true. Democrats have no problem complaining and bolting.
It's why we can't get much done, really.

6. That's a fact.
The Republicans use of fear keeps their flock in line. They are also much better at the "us vs. them". While the "us" isn't always clear, the "them" sure is.

2. Axelrod hasn't heard of the Teabaggers of the Tea Party?

No Axelrod, Dems are better are ignoring dissent than GOPers are. All Dem dissent is in defense of the working class and Dem elites love ignoring working class causes. If it doesn't favor the rich, Dem elites don't care.

5. Yeah, where the hell are the teabeggers on this? I guess they are just fine with the deficit
as long as it's done through tax cuts and destruction of social services (to follow in a near future).

3. Thats not true at all
Republicans dont need to stifle any dissent because there isn't any. In order to be elected as a republican you have to do what the republican base wants, where as democrats can literally hold any view on any issue they want and will still be voted for simply because they are not a republican.

4. The most generous interpretation of that is an attempt at reverse psychology.
But I think he's being frank, and I agree -- they not only suck at stifling dissent, they are getting worse.
