I don't profess to be a genious of Minnesota politics, but you usually don't get someone so right wing in this state. It's a state generally of liberals and moderate Republicans. It's getting more "purple" the last ten years as Republicans make gains, unfortunately.

I think her district is a lot of blue collar, NRA types. You get that a lot outside the major cities in MN.

The odd thing to me that I still can't wrap my head around is that this is usually an educated population. They have their faults, but they don't usually vote for stupid. Go figure.
