Corporate Media Narrative - The Betrayal Meme - No One Is Discussing The Betrayal Of The Tea Party!
Edited on Wed Dec-08-10 09:02 PM by TomCADem
The major media is manipulating us. It runs interference for the Republican party by ignoring their opposition to allowing tax cuts to the rich to expire, which President Obama and Democrats in Congress strongly supported. Instead, it focuses on "Obama's betrayal of liberals" for agreeing to a compromise with Republicans to a temporary extension of all tax cuts along with other measures designed to benefit the middle class. The fact that Republicans were holding unemployment benefits and tax cuts to the middle class hostage is downplayed or ignored. Thus, liberals on this board end up attacking President Obama and giving Republicans a free pass.

In sharp contrast, Republicans were swept to control the House by "Tea Party" anger at an out of control deficit. Remember the numerous news stories about weeping Teabaggers worried about our nation's debt? Heck, Glenn Beck was weeping on what seemed a daily basis about the threat of inflation, and hawking gold due to his concern about the debt. Yet, this Republican brokered deal increases the deficit in order to benefit the very rich. So, where are the stories about Tea Baggers feeling betrayed by the Republican Party?

ONCE AGAIN, WHERE ARE THE FUCKING STORIES ON CABLE NEWS ABOUT TEA BAGGERS FEELING BETRAYED BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ???

The left is once again getting manipulated by the corporate media into attacking Democrats and the right is being manipulated into supporting the Republicans who repeatedly and actively sell them out.

If the media was fair and balanced, we would see an equal number of stories covering Tea Baggers mad as hell at Republicans for giving a tax break to the rich at the expense of our national debt. BUT, you do not see these stories even though the polls show that many self-described conservative also oppose the tax cuts without corresponding spending cuts.

The Corporate Media's Directive: Attack the Democrats. Give Republicans A Free Pass. Carry On.

You have your orders. Carry them out.

1. Are the Teabaggers mad as hell about this? They were holding
protests at our Congressman's office demanding he vote down the HCR bill then after voting for it they had him voted out of office. Well I don't see them at his office demanding he vote against this tax cut. So apparently they are alright with the deficit as long as they are on the receiving end of the handouts.

2. The Koch Brothers stand to benefit from this "compromise."
They don't need to send in the Tea Bagger hounds like they did for the "heath care" debate...
