We could not live without it.

Democrats and Republicans alike finally recognize your greatness and vision.

They had a chance to let your middle class taxcuts die but the middle class rebelled. They needed that taxcut. They could not live without it.

Thank you, George W Bush. In two years, the Democrats say they will let the taxcuts die. But you and I know that the middle class will need that taxcut even more two years from now.

Those folks that were so critical of you are now licking your cowboy boots.

3. Yep, and then we take about 3% more of payroll taxes..
and give this great middle class another taxcut and they will finally appreciate the rightness of supply side economics. Does it feel good being a fucking Republican??

I was referring to those defenders of the middle class taxcuts in general. I was attempting to add to your comments.

2. well there are two times that Congress can never raise taxes
1. During a recession when doing so would kill the recovery
2. during an expansion when doing so would cause a recession

6. I did not support Bush, and have been critical of his policies.
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 10:14 AM by RandomThoughts
I still do not support him, although I do point out some for self gain, or some fear of something are afraid of scorched earth.

Basically if they think scorched earth can get me to do what I think is wrong, they are wrong.

But it is interesting to know how those that fear do things. And how those that don't care do things.

Scorched earth threat is those that do not care, attacking those that are scared.

Some authoritarians, versus some that bow to fear.

However many democrats have been showing courage, hence why things have happened that are difficult. Democrats showed courage, they crashed the economy "get the money out, was the meme when that happened."

They blow up an oil well, many democrats don't back down to them.

They threaten starvation, many don't back down.

Because ultimately there ability to carry out any of those threats must be removed by a transparent and just society with compassion.

Although I think it is important for people to think on some of those ideas, and see what some will do for power. Give a person power if you want to know his character, look what some do with it, should you give them more power?

11. And thank you, Ronald Reagan, for your unprecedented peacetime military build up!
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 10:57 AM by kenny blankenship
Without it we could have never invaded the Muslim world.

We Democrats ribbed you about your military spending frenzy for years. "Combined with tax cuts, it'll blow up the federal budget deficit up like a supernova!" we said. But though the debt exploded, the world didn't suddenly end: you served out two terms and retired a beloved old codger, the Soviet Union fell, and your successors used that huge war machine you built to go after Mid East oil. Who looks stupid now, right? Just like we were wrong about your taxcuts--as our President has now shown us--we were wrong about your snarling militarism and boundless appetite for exotic new weaponry. We're sorry we said all those mean things back then and we're sorry we ever doubted you.

16. Yeah, thank you Bushes and Reagan for the economic growth and the boots to domestic jobs that your

policies provided. America totally leads the world in jobs and economic growth due to supply side economics. I mean, without you fine presidents our jobs might have gone to China or India.
