Lindsey Graham Accuses Obama Of 'Whining,' Dares Dems To Block Tax Cut Deal

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/09/lindsey-graham-accuses-ob_n_793977.html

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Wednesday accused President Obama of "whining" in his recent defense of the tax cut deal, and said that if Democrats wanted to attempt block the proposal, they should "go for it."

"Quite frankly, the president is whining," Graham said of Obama, who on Tuesday berated "hostage-taking" Republicans and "sanctimonious" Democrats for their conduct both during and after the negotiations process. "I like him personally, but yesterday's news conference was not one of his finer moments. If he believes in the bill, stand by it."

The proposal, which Graham called "a good deal for everybody," contains a number of key GOP provisions -- primarily the two-year extension of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and the maintenance of extremely low estate tax rates -- which the White House agreed to include in return for a 13-month extension of unemployment benefits, among other provisions.

While White House senior adviser David Axelrod has claimed that there is little wiggle room for further negotiations on the plan, and that the "framework" is already in place, Democratic opposition to the package has emerged in both chambers with members hoping to force a restructuring of the bargain.

1. I've seen Republicans essentially dare Democrats to do things before. And every time--
it was reverse psychology. They were always daring the Democrats to do something that would in fact be the smart move, and hit the Republicans right in the solar plexus.

2. Though the hostage takers won concessions--victory is not enough--don't call them hostage takers
Call the 'ransom' an 'investment' in the well-being of the hostage.

Stand by your ransom and parade it with pride.

3. Lets do it!
I am a complete Obama and Democratic party supporter- but heck, if the republicans are telling us to "go for it" in regards to fighting for our beliefs, by all means- Lets teach them a thing or two about the REAL hardworking american families; we fight every day to survive while the rich people are basking in their glory of paying barely anything while we are working to attempt to survive right now. We Democrats are hard working, principal bound people. We have to fight to get anything that is just, and we can continue to fight until whats just comes to fruition. We fought during the entire Bush reign and we can fight now to make things right- I don't think they actually respect how much we can and are willing to fight for what is best for our country as a whole. If the lower class and middle class families have more money they will spend more, causing more income for those rich jackbutts in their business endeavors, which ultimately will cause more jobs... problem solved!!! That way, the lower/middle class families can live easier, and gain money for the rich people from the spending... therefore- they'd be getting what they want anyway- (although pay more in taxes than want) they would be getting more income from business!!! It works for all. Those republicans have their heads shoved so far up their money hungry bottoms they cannot see the big picture- they must have been swayed by the ridiculous teachings of Palin (surprised that there hasn't been a religion started around her well pure bullistic behavior and ideals= PALINOLOGY or CRAPOLOGY). anyway- just my little piece of thought.
