Georgia Republicans are adding another Democrat to their ranks.
Hall County (Note: EXTREMELY conservative/white GOP area) Commissioner Ashley Bell -- a 2004 superdelegate to the Democratic National Convention -- changed his allegiance to the Republican Party on Thursday.
Bell is the first African-American elected official to switch parties since the general election. Seven Democratic state legislators have swapped parties since Nov. 2 giving Republicans a wider margin in both the House and the Senate.
Bell said he is joining the GOP "because I'm a conservative and simply feel more at home as a Republican." Note to Mr. Bell: WHOSE HOME?
Bell made the announcement at a news conference Thursday with Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue Everhart. He is a former president of the national College Democrats of America.
later changes to a republican was never a real democrat to begin with. If they where they would be violently sick by the idea of ever joining the republican party.
