1. My favorite!
The republicans have done EVERYTHING in their power to take this man down--Tom Delay gerrymandered his district into such a hodgepodge that it went beyond ridiculous. And they STILL didn't keep him out.
Now HERE is a man I would support for POTUS.:loveya:

12. You MUST be able to say this
Or you will get rolled every time. If the other side in a negotiation senses that you won't walk away, that you will make a deal regardless of the terms (or worse, if you tell the other side that you won't walk away), then it becomes a simple matter of just how much the other side feels like plucking its little pigeon. Will they clean you out or leave a little something to come back for later?

If you can say what Doggett did, and you can walk away and mean it, the other side has to decide how important a deal is. Will they also walk away, or will they move off their position? So far, the Republicans and their pals have had no reason to walk away as long as they were getting all their demands met (and more). Which also precludes their modifying their position, except to perhaps refine their demands further and demand more.
