Apparently Lieberman hasn't given up yet. He's introducing a standalone DADT repeal bill.

Per many on twitter, Reid promised Lieberman a vote on this bill before the end of session.

So we'll get to watch this trash heap of a Senate do this all over again. In theory, the 56 Democrats who voted yes today + Blanche Lincoln (who didn't show up) + Susan Collins (who voted yes today) + Murkowski + Snowe + Brown would be 61 (and Lieberman independently claims he has 60).

But who am I kidding? Murkowski, Snowe, and Brown could have voted yes today if they wanted to. They all claim to be in favor of repeal. They're apparently just not in favor of VOTING for repeal.

Whatever. Take this for what it's worth, which is probably nothing.
