1. Kaisich was ready to kill the rail project anyway.
so we'd be SOL without his help.

2. WI and OH governors (R) rejected the money
as did Christie (NJ) for a tunnel linking NJ to NY. Sec. LaHood is redsitributing the money among states still participating.

4. No. Ohio (my state) and Wisconsin screwed themselves.
Its not LaHood's fault. Our new shit governor in Ohio and the new shit governor in Wisconsin are to blame. They are turning down the money and refuse to budge on letting the rail projects go forward. The money won't be used here, so its gonna go somewhere that the voters didn't choose to elect a complete asshole.

5. Great news!
Sorry for the folks living in WI and OH, but they elected the creeps who rejected the money.

6. Johnson and Kasich wanted those funds to pay for road repairs
as the road construction companies paid in part for their campaigns.
At least the administration is standing firm on something.

8. Kaisich's fault Ohio is loosing it
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 05:59 PM by NEOhiodemocrat
I am just glad they didn't give in to his "demand" that we be able to keep the money to use otherwise or that if we loose it that it goes to reduce the deficit. Who does he think he is? I dread the next four years, miss Stickland already.
Edit to add I am glad that the money is going to states with the foresight to see the benefits of the project.

9. Thanks Wisconsin and Ohio
We'll put that money to good use in Oregon. Build some stuff. Employ some people. Probably do other things you apparently don't want to do. So, thanks!
