Beloved teacher suffered miscarriage breaking up classroom fight
A beloved Bronx teacher had a miscarriage Wednesday after she was hit trying to break up a fight between two students, sources and students told the Daily News.

The teacher, who was four months pregnant, was teaching her fifth period Spanish class at Exploration Academy in the Claremont section of the Bronx when the assault occurred.

A student arrived five minutes late, walked up to another student who was already seated and told him to get out of his desk, students said.

When the seated student refused, the conflict escalated and the teacher tried to intervene. She was accidentally elbowed in the stomach and fell to the ground, crying.

"I can't believe it," said Amaury Lopez, 17, a student at the school. "I can't believe she lost her child over a fight over a chair."

What a shame! But this is just part of what our teachers have to handle every damn day. But to hear RW talk radio/tv & Repukes you'd think they have a overpayed, too many benefits, cushy 9 month job!

I say who has a cushy overpayed job with too many bennies and works short hours is RW talk blowhards & Repukes!

1. My oldest son will graduate in the spring with an elementary education degree.
He knows what he is getting into but loves to work with kids.

I remember when teachers were revered and respected by most parents.

Now they are the ones blamed for latchkey kids that act out because mom and dad have to work 2 jobs each to make ends meet.

2. This is the outcome when traitors are leaders
This is the outcome of a country that has lost much of its real economy due to outsourcing. Our economy was made to look like "growth" with ever expanding debt. We have an elected US government of both D and Rs that collaborated from 1980 until today with financiers and CEO's to sell out the USA to Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Mexico (Clinton), India, China (Clinton) and now Korea (Obama). These bastards sold us out to make Wall St rich. Fifty percent of the American people don't pay taxes because they don't earn enough money to pay taxes thanks to our bribed politicians and trade reps. Those in government who promoted free trade should be facing the gallows for treason, instead they were made wealthy.

Didn't mean to hijack the original post. So many of societies problems have low paying jobs and lack of opportunity at the root, along with greed, wars, and elected officials who are not interested in serving the public.

Also sad that you'll hear the 'overpayed, too many benefits, cushy 9 month job' from Democrats too.
