Let me introduce you to my little friend...
Miss Lucy Rose Havana. She is visiting me from Minneapolis.

I have pledged to take care of her for the next two months; to make sure she doesn't get too dirty or slimy and to have lots of fun times and plenty of memories to take back with her.

Here's my little guy, Pierre Lapin:

He's visiting the home of Miss Lucy Rose Havana and having a ball!

I'm participating in a Little Visitor swap on Craftster. We take our little visitors around town and put together a little scrapbook of their trip.

I am having sooo much fun w/this project!

1. I've never participated in one of these travelling critters deals
Is this your first time? Whatcha been doing with it?

Btw, I had a coworker who collected stuffed bears with his wife. If they went out for a picnic or even their favorite restaurant, they'd bring one and have fun camping it up. So, my husband and I took one of our stuffed bears on a camping trip. I set him down near a tree so he was looking at the base and titled the pic "Fuzzy searches for his roots". Silly fun stuff being a kid again.

Who was the original that would make the rounds of craft groups? I think it was a little guy figure. I'm drawing a blank.

2. It's my first time doing a swap like this...
I've been going everywhere in town (Brunswick, OH), and then some. It's like a day in the life of Gizmonic and her stuffed pal. So far we've been to a cool vintage store, an arts & craft show, my niece's birthday party, and then we head off to Boston this weekend!

Our local Dem club had a booth at the town's annual fair -- so I took a pix of me and my little visitor setting up the booth and a bunch of goofy pix like that!

My partner has taken my li'l guy to a Gay Pride parade and the museum.

I am so enjoying this project! :)

4. Reminds me of the "Flat Stanley" project
My brother's kids all did in grade school. They read a book called "Flat Stanley" about a boy who gets flattend and mails himself all over the world. So the kids make drawings of themselves, and mail them to a friend or relative in another city.

I got to take the flat neices and nephews all over town for pics, then send back a scrapbook.

6. My cousin & I did that on our trip to the UK
Before we left, her daughter put her prized stuffed toy "Frog" in her carryon. We didn't notice until we were at the airport. We took him everywhere with us & had his picture taken at the Tower, eating fish & chips, ordering drinks on the plane (for a child's toy, he was a bit of a lush), & having coffee at the Starbucks on Prince Street in Edinburgh. Along the way, we picked up McPaddington the Sheep for my cousin Barbara. If Frog was a lush, McPaddington was a lady's man. We had loads of fun taking pics of all the "trouble" they got themselves into, especially in Amsterdam.

Looks like you had a good time with your visitor! :)
