and I'm winding all those skeins I really didn't want to look at into balls. It works. I'm amazed, but it works.

1. Congratulatons!
Did you need to glue some of the pieces?

2. No, that's the joy of it
It's Tinker Toys so it's modular, you can change the size for what you need and when you're done with it, it comes apart and goes back in the can.

Here's where I found the idea

3. I saved the page
Sometimes I find great yarn in hanks at the thrift shop. This would help. I'm having a little bit of a hard time imagining using it. But when it comes together, it should be self explanatory. I was wondering last thread how it's clamped to hold it. I'll go back and read the earlier thread.

I'm glad you got the chance to make one and let us know about it!

4. It's not clamped
I have it sitting on the table in front of me. Instead of 4 legs from the bottom connector, I used 8 and it's shown no inclination to tip over at all and I've now wound 3 balls from one size hank and 1 ball from a smaller hank...just used different sized rods for the different hanks.
