2. Just Google "consumer complaints." There are plenty of Web sites.

3. Angie's List is wonderful. Subscribing gets you local access to reviews of
every kind of business in your area: www.angieslist.com
Well worth it. Your garage door automatic opener is broken? I took one look, read the reviews, called a company and it was done. No hassle.

5. You must pay to join
For some, it might be worth it, but it wasn't worth it for me.

7.  Angie's List
Hi Lucky,
Please remember that Angie's is now primarily an advertising medium. They started as a consumer group, but changed . Also I can tell you that they make frequent mistakes. I owned a franchise and would occasionally get complaints that were due to another franchise owner's personnel. It would take 2-3 months to get things straightened out. They couldn't care less and had no means to notify people of the mistake. I have no idea how much business I lost due to their mistakes from lack of due diligence.
