2. It has some good changes in it, but Kerry, Boxer, etc voted no.
Shocked!

4. Biden usually goes with Kerry and Boxer
This is a total shock.

Just had a thought though - maybe Obama has already approached Joe about the VP position and perhaps Biden agreed to vote with Obama.

7. Joe and Hillary voted 'no' - they just read the votes.
The possibility you cite above is an example of why I think Joe would hate being VP -- having to "go along".

3. They DID? I'm shocked -- and pissed and saddened!
I thought they'd be a sure "nay" vote (Joe and Hillary).

I don't understand it!

Man, Joe was even one of the fifteen who voted against cloture, so I thought he'd vote along with those guys right down the line (Feingold, Boxer, Dodd, et al).

8. I changed the op - what was that first vote?
I *knew* Biden would do the right thing.

Obama voted aye on both.

So what was that first vote that he voted aye on?

11. Yes - I knew Biden would do the right thing, too.
which is why I almost fell over when I thought he'd voted for the bill.

Obama had an opportunity to vote 'nay' after his statement that he would support it, and just say "I listened to the people and will do as they ask -- vote against this bill." He blew it.

12. How did Hillary end up voting?
Ya know, it really would be something if of all the Dem candidates, Obama was the only one voting for this.

14. She didn't vote on the cloture thing.
And interesting observation -- Biden, Dodd and Clinton all voted to oppose the bill. And we know Dennis did in the House. You're right - the only candidate who voted to support it is Obama.

9. Some procedural vote - but that's all I know. I don't know what it means,
but seeing as how they voted the RIGHT way for the amendments and bill, we can probably assume voting Aye on the procedural thing was the right thing to do, too. :)

22. I think the aye vote was to close off debate and go to a vote on the questions.
Weren't the Pukes trying to filibuster? The Dems moved to close debate. That's the first aye. Or am I just adding to the confusion?

17. Bell and P -- list hasn't been posted yet, shouldn't be too much longer.
And you've summed it up accurately, Bell -- FISA was approved, Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Feingold, Lahey, Kerry, Boxer (and not too many others!) voted against it, Obama voted for it.

18. Thank you ...I'm sure it will be posted when available
That is the nice thing about a place like this....I don't have to figure it out myself....all you guys are so much better at it!!!!

I have a pit in my stomach.

I am assuming the list will be the usual ones....I feel like the Democratic party is splitting in two sometimes....

It looks like the usual core liberals with a few extra Dem's thrown in.
I half expected Reid to vote for it....I'm glad he didn't

I see my midwest favorites voted against.....Harkin, Durbin. and Feingold..
