Biden, Pelosi Stress Harmony On Budget

The message of the day seems to be Democratic harmony, displayed just now between Vice President Biden and Speaker Pelosi as they prepared to have lunch at the Capitol. The Democrats both expressed strong confidence that lawmakers will produce a budget that meets the administration’s goals, with Pelosi saying the House is “intent to deliver for the president.”

“I know at the end of the day, we will have a strong budget supportive of the president’s principles,” Pelosi said. She also sent a message to Republicans, saying that while she hoped a budget would pass with bipartisan support, “I know the bill will pass.”

“We’re in a position where in order to rebuild this economy, it can’t be built on a false bubble,” the former senator said. “We have to get down to rebuilding an economy that produces a solid foundation for the better part of the beginning of this century. Help me refresh my memory - did Cheney get as little coverage as Joe is getting?

Maybe it just seems like Cheney got more because we were always posting about him:shrug:

2. Cheney was never anywhere at all. Joe is much more visible imo.

He was always hiding in a basement in an undisclosed location. Seriously, I never ever saw Cheney when he was VP. I feel like I see much more of Joe.

4. I loved Al Gore when he was VP. Now Joe is the VP.

I must have a VP obsession or something. Except Cheney was a blip in the middle...yuck.
I go to Daylife and Politico 44 shows the daily schedules of the VP and Prez. These guys are so busy I hope they take care of themselves. Obama's schedule today was ridiculous.

5. I was thinking the same thing

Cheney never seemed to do as much as Joe, at least not openly, but I think he was mentioned in the news more often. The media really seems to be ignoring Joe, which is a shame. He is accomplishing so much.
