HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 29 (acn) Samuel Santos, Nicaragua’s Foreign Affairs Minister, warned at the United Nations this Tuesday about plans to assassinate Honduran constitutional president Manuel Zelaya, who is a guest at the Brazilian embassy in Tegucigalpa.
In his speech at the UN General Assembly, Santos warned: “Hear it now because later they will say he committed suicide!”
The Foreign Minister said that the crisis resulting from the coup last June 28th is a crime against the Honduran people, reported Prensa Latina news agency.
The coup perpetrators intend to kill Zelaya, who was expelled from power and country by the coup. He returned surprisingly a week ago to Tegucigalpa, where he has remained a guest in the Brazilian embassy ...
