Ex-guerrillas claim govt plotted fake FARC surrender
Ex-guerrillas claim govt plotted fake FARC surrender

Jim Glade

Ex-guerrillas testify that the government collaborated with a FARC prisoner and a drug trafficker to stage the fake surrender of dozens of FARC members, La FM reported Wednesday.

On March 7, 2006, 66 guerrillas from the FARC's Cacica Gaitana Front supposedly demobilized, and then-President Alvaro Uribe, gave incarcerated FARC member, alias "Olivo Saldaña," the title of "Manager of Peace" for organizing the surrender.

Two incarcerated FARC guerrillas are claiming that the government plotted with Olivo Saldaña and drug trafficker Hugo Alberto Rojas Yepez to recruit homeless and unemployed people from the Tolima department and offer them COP500,000 to train, live and act like FARC guerrillas, then surrender to security forces.

According to the two guerrillas, who are under tight security in prison, then-Peace Commissioner Luis Carlos Restrepo ordered then-commander of the Army's 6th Brigade, General Lelio Suarez Tocarruncho, to visit Olivo Saldaña in jail where they discussed plans to demobilize a FARC front.

2. Sometimes people even INVESTIGATE the stories they get from others
in order to grasp if there is any validity.

Do you imagine anyone in the new administration would take the iniative and INVESTIGATE what these two people have said?

Wouldn't be the worst idea, if they're not too busy.

Maybe instead of investigating them, they'll just fire off an attempted sarcastic put-down on their little computers. Saves them a lot of trouble.

7. Whole lot of fakery going on in Colombia, on our dime ($7 BILLION)...
"False positives"--murder kids, dress bodies up like FARC guerrillas, to up military "body count"--to earn bonuses and impress U.S. senators...

Fake "war on drugs" --cocaine just keeps on rolling out....

Fake "enemies"--murder of trade unionists, human rights workers, teachers, community activists, journalists, peasant farmers...

Fake reason for $7 BILLION in U.S. military aid--real reasons, bloody prep U.S. "free trade for the rich"; consolidation of trillion dollar cocaine trade...

Fake pResident--local mafia chief makes good...

Fake "miracle laptop"--to "prove" that the real presidents next door are "terrorist lovers"...

Fake photos of FARC guerrilla camp in Venezuela...

Fake shit-fit at the OAS over the above...

Fake extraditions of death squad witnesses to the U.S. on mere drug charges--witnesses "buried" in U.S. federal prison system--out of the reach of Colombian prosecutors and over their objections--by complete sealing of their cases in U.S. federal court in Washington DC, for fake reasons....

Fake U.S./Colombian military agreement--among other things to put fake signature on total diplomatic immunity for all U.S. soldiers and all U.S. military 'contractors' in Colombia...

Fake U.S. State Department "fine" of Blackwater for "unauthorized" "trainings" of "foreign persons" in Colombia "for use in Iraq and Afghanistan"....

Fake USAID "democracy" plan--cover for mass killings....

Fake peril to the chief spying witness against Uribe--to arrange instant asylum (out of the reach of Colombian prosecutors and over their objections) in the U.S. client state of Panama...

Fake U.S. Attorney General--Chiquita death squad attorney makes good...

Fake "rescue" of Ingrid Betancourt--live on TV and in the U.S. embassy "war room" in Bogota...

Fake excuse to bomb/raid FARC hostage and peace negotiation camp on Ecuador's border--to blow away all talk of peace in Colombia's 70 year civil war...

Fake death squad demobilization--name change from AUK to Black Eagles...

It just goes on and on and on. And when you write it all out like this--and do the same thing for the Bush Junta (fake WMDs to invade Iraq, fake Pentagon budget, fake supreme court, fake voting machines, fake elections, fake pResident, fake bankster crisis...)--you realize not only that Colombia was a replica of the USA/Bush Junta--fakery everywhere--but also, in a way, you realize the strength of most peoples' desire for peace, fairness and good government; otherwise, why all of this fakery?

Both peoples--us and the Colombians. All we want is peace, fairness and good government. All we've gotten is war, unfairness and evil government acting in the interest of transglobal corporations and war profiteers. But they feel obliged to do all this fakery and lying... why? Because they fear us, that's why. They really do.

9. Hoss, we're the only country in the world with the moxie to pay for BOTH sides in a civil war
Imagine, we borrow money from China to pay for one side, then we dope up to pay for the other side in a Civil war. Aren't we rich?
