Venezuela Says U.S. Lacks “Moral Authority” to Judge Antiterrorism Efforts
Caracas, August 19th 2011 (Venezuelanalysis.com) – This Friday the Venezuelan government formally “rejected” a U.S. State Department antiterrorism report issued a day earlier, describing the document as “plagued with false affirmations, political preconceptions, and veiled threats.”

In a press release issued today, Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the U.S. government seeks “to impose, by way of intimidation, its international policy of disregard and domination” and that the ongoing “refuge and protection” provided by the United Stated to confessed terrorist Luis Posada Carriles negated all “moral authority” in the U.S.’s so-called War on Terrorism.

And that ain't all they said. Read on! It's a good anti-dote to the NON-STOP crapola about Venezuela that has come out of "the Beltway" since the failed, U.S. supported rightwing coup d'etat back in 2002. The U.S. just CAN'T STAND not being able to dictate to oil rich countries in its "own back yard."

great grandson of a famous baseball player. What other credentials does one need in order to try to steer US foreign policy, along with his right-wing Cuban "exile" confederates in South Florida?

You posted a great article. Direct, hits the points, and does it honestly. Very rare, for sure.

The US government should be trying to recover its credibility, lost so long ago. Instead, they keep bullying left-leaning governments throughout the world with "reports", either produced by themselves or by "NGOs" funded or directly attached to them, such as the Freedom House.

Venezuela is just another one among dozens of Latin American countries to reject US "reports". Brazil has done the same some time ago.

What I don't understand is why no Latin American country is publishing reports about PATRIOT ACT, Guantanamo prison, proxy oil wars, and, least but not last, incitation to coups d'état.
