CNN Poll: Anti-incumbent fever at record high
OK, I know this is 2 days old, but I googled this and found nothing on DU about this new survey, and Jonathan Turley just blogged about this.

Washington (CNN) -- Only a third of U.S. voters think that most members of Congress deserve to be re-elected this year, according to a new national poll. That's the lowest number ever recorded for that question in a CNN survey.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll, released Tuesday, indicates that only 34 percent feel that current federal lawmakers deserve re-election, with 63 percent saying no.

According to the survey, 51 percent feel their own member of Congress should be re-elected -- also an all-time low in CNN polling -- while 44 percent say their representative doesn't deserve to be returned to office in November.

1. And they are doing everything they can to feed that fever.
Way to go M$M, heck of a job of making a brilliant President insignificant.

2. CNN has been promoting the anti-incumbent campaign for months...
...it's a general theme running through much of their political programing. Jack Cafferty openly spouts off "let's get rid of all of them." But here is the problem.....

Republicans would never, never, NEVER, vote against a Republican.....never.
Independents, because they want to be, well........independent,.... WOULD vote out all incumbents.
Democrats who want MORE change MIGHT vote out the incumbents.

So, there you go......
Republicans would never.....
Independents would....
Democrats might....

Result: 2010 Republican MAJORITY in the House and the Senate.

Dems be aware of the insidiousness of this seemingly harmless promotion.

:boring: :boring: :evilfrown: :evilfrown:

3. I am beginning to dislike CNN a lot these days

Candy Cane and all the rest of them give me the blues.

Even good old Larry King is asking everyone tough questions about their life as if he is a saint ~ he was fighting with his wife in the middle of the street, right in front of Cantor's.

Then the Enquirer ( ask John Edwards) had him having an affair with his wife's sister.

Of course, the Enquire is always wrong - ask Tiger and others.

And Chuck Todd still "Cherry Picks The Polls." and wants us to believe that he would never do that...

Good old Can Never Notlie ( CNN.)

4. So Republicans aren't incumbent?
They have to protect their seats too. If the Dems lose four seats and pick up four seats they're still the majority.

9. Well,
18 Republicans and 14 Democrats are retiring. Unless the Republicans pick up 40 seats, they'll remain in the minority.

14. When we Dems win big in November, CNN will be saying they knew it all along.
Fox will be running stories about voting machine fraud.

Edited on Sat Feb-20-10 07:57 AM by CTLawGuy
people only control the fates of their ONE house member and two senators. And that is sitting at 51%.

It's not uncommon to see people who hate Congress but like their congressman.
