Discussion is next to impossible around here now. When I see some tasteless bullshit posted by someone, I'll call them out on it. So, here is what I was meaning to add to the OP, if I must spell it out in such language: This OP is sickening, tasteless, and the perfect example of the cess pool that DU has turned into. I would like to ask that someone who would post such crap - at all, but especially in the wake of an event that has resulted in the deaths of hundreds and ruination of thousands - to stop doing so. Apart from that, I also have a sense of humour, and can't stand when people think they're so very funny - "haha, people are dead - look how witty I am" is not a funny joke.

1) Obama never body surfed a tidal wave into Hawaii. Do you complain about roof shingles being
damaged by Santa's sled?

2) Thankfully nobody was hurt in Hawaii and from what I have read there was very little property
damage in the islands.

3) I was making fun of the over the top non stop coverage on the cable news shows about what turned
out to be a non event.

4) I never mentioned Chile or the suffering there because that was real unlike Obama riding a tsunami
across the the Pacific.

5) I have written comedy and have a very sophisticated sense of humor. Do you want an example?

Why did harmonicon cross the road? Because he thought we needed a wet blanket on our side to
put out the campfire of fun we were all sitting around minding our own business at and in no way
trying to downplay what is happening in the real world.

.... + interest, the stimulus saved 2,000,000 jobs (like my next door neighbor) and has created
600,000 + new jobs, putting real money behind a Great Lakes clean up, we are no longer
loosing troops in Iraq (Dec. & Jan. were the first months after bush started that mess not one
American Soldier died of a combat injury), got Russia to agree to a 1/3 cut in all nuclear weapons,
and has very publicly put the republicans in their place. Sure I would like him to do some more
and different things but overall he is doing a great job considering the "poop sandwich" that was
put on his plate on day # 1.

And in one of his most important jobs it looks to me that he is a great father and husband to his
family.
