As a doctor Barrasso probably believes that if someone is sick it is their fault.

5. all those malpractice lawsuits they had to face forced them to give up
their practices (not that there were "too many malpractice suits" in general, but too many filed against THEM ...), and they felt that they could get back at their victims by making laws ...

7. Hmm, he's an orthopedic surgeon...
I always wonder about these guys...all the sports injury stuff...maybe he treats the rich, white guys who take the wrong ski slope and end up in a heap at the bottom...thinking they're 25 instead of 55...

Did he volunteer to go to Haiti to fix broken bones there?
