DNC: We’ve Pulled In $1 Million Since Bill Passed — Without Asking

DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan emails:

We haven’t specifically asked for any money online since the bill passed — but because of the excitement and energy this has generated it has poured in anyway.

Without even asking, we’ve raised more than a million dollars — a lot more.

The DNC is presumably leaking the figure in order to counter the news that the RNC has raised more than $1 million off its “Fire Nancy Pelosi” campaign, which depicts the Speaker, suggestively, against a backdrop of flames.

The GOP has, of course, had been benefitting from a big “enthusiasm gap” in recent months, as the fate of reform looked in doubt. The GOP base seems even more fired up in the wake of the bill’s passage, particularly with leading GOP officials vowing repeal. The question is whether it will now be matched by a newfound level of energy on the Dem side.

1. Hope it makes DNC understand that People DESERATELY want change
Seems to indicate people want progress and things to happen. I think if democrats started acting progressive they'd see even more money coming in.

5. Hey Democrats:
when you make your base happy, they give you money.

Don't tell anybody. And for god's sake don't make them even happier by starting down the road to single payer. Because then you'd get so much money you wouldn't know what to do with it.
