9. I have little hope that
strong controls on derivatives will remain in the bill. But why should tax payers be on the hook for derivatives trading? There is simply no justification for it. This is something everyone should agree on, even the brain dead Teabaggers and Republicans.

2. Are there records of bankers visiting him in his offices?
I think that visitor's lists to ALL representatives should be posted to the net DAILY. Dodd's probably been taking offers for his future job to a new level -- expect to see more *reform* surgically removed from the bill

4. Ever hear of the Gold Coast here in Connecticut? There is no doubt

that he has been visited by bankers. They commute from CT and live in the Greenwich, Darien, Westport, Fairfield area.

3. Dodd needs to get this right and maybe reconsider not running this year...
...at least depending on where this Blumenthal fiasco goes. If Dodd can legitimately take credit for delivering some tough, progressive financial regulation, I think that would change the state of his chances significantly.

5. I actually would like to see him change his mind.
I know that isn't really a popular thing to say, especially round these parts, but if he can get this right -- yes, I would like to see him give it another shot.

8. Cynical. They can't kill it because Blanche needs the street cred for the run off
but we know they want to and will water it down back alley style if they can.
