Huge major crisis in the oil business. Threats of bans and new regulations and gas prices are not going up.

In the past anything caused them to go up. Hell, bad weather in the gulf caused it to go up.

I am not a conspiracy nut but it seems weird that the gas prices are staying low.

Maybe the last thing the oil companies want is to make people upset about gas prices now???

Collusion anyone?

6. This oil well wasn't supposed to be producing...
It was going to be capped but not tapped.
It has no affect on the delivery of oil to refineries, or the delivery of gasoline to your station.

Now, if BP should go bankrupt in order to avoid the liabilities, that could cause disruption and a rise in gasoline price. And I would be happy to pay for that at the pump.
