I Couldn't Be Happier For Harry Reid
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 06:25 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
After that fat clown, Rush Limbaugh, has been calling him Dingy Harry for the past several years, and that cretin, Sharron Angle questioned his manhood and finances he deserved to win. In a night of bitter disappointments one of the good guys won.

Questioning his manhood and finances was absurd. The man was a flipping boxer who literally pulled himself up by his own bootstraps. His mom made a living by cleaning linens at a brothel.

Harry, I am so, so happy for you....

1. Yes, this win was very sweet, and I'm certain it is a bitter pill for the wingnuts to swallow.

4. Sen,. Kerry on Reid victory
Politico was wrong, Huffington Post was wrong, hell, all the pundits were wrong. Harry Reid isn’t just Dracula, he isn’t just Lazarus, he’s our Leader and our whole caucus is thrilled that he’s unbreakable and unbeatable

5. But most DUers think he is not a fighter. He came back from the dead
and kicked some tea party ass.

fighters Reid and Pelosi are.

9. I would be happier if Harry handed over the Majority Leadership to someone who will fight and unite
the Dems as a distinct political party with its own vision for the future. That's not Harry's strength.

Now, we need to hang together with a sharp and distinct message of our own, a strategy that served the Republicans so well these past two years. If we concede, if we cooperate, if we "move to the center" (further to the Right), they will surely hang us separately.

15. +100
I congratulate him for his re-election and I'm happy for that. But I do not think his leadership style has panned out well for progressives and would really appreciate him more if he would relinquish the leadership to a more feisty person.

16. Totally agree.
We need new congressional leadership if for no other reason than to remove the old targets of Republican smear. New Democratic leadership would financially cost the Republicans dearly as well.

14. Dude is bulletproof.
He won in the most unfavorable conditions possible--honestly, I'm STILL scratching my head.

And his victory speech...I wanna know where that voice was the night of the debate.
