The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
That was some night....

First of all - it warmed my heart that Whitman, Fiorina and the Alaska Governor's race went the way they did.

It broke my heart that Grayson, and Feingold lost....

And it was downright ugly that Boehner could not even stay sober enough to deliver a speech without slurring, and crying. That the media expressed this as him being so "emotional" is.....well....the slurping sound you heard was the lips sucking on the backside of Mr. I'm so emotional with my good friend Mr. Scotch.

But - the electorate has spoken. And for the President, as if his challenges were not daunting enough - let's throw this into the pile.

So - what will a republican controlled house do? It is my belief that their number one goal is not jobs, and it is not the economy. I belief their number one job is to make sure Obama is a one termer - period.

The senate remains in limbo - ineffective, deadlocked.

so - what is a president to do?

If the president is going to be a one-termer.....and the republicans CLEARLY want this so....this does have an effect of freeing Obama to be a trully hard-nosed demanding president. The time to be nice and finding compromise is over. It is done and gone.

It seems to me that the GOP have succeeded in really screwing up your nation...and are even more successful at laying the BLAME of that at the feet of democrats. It has happened, time and time and time again. Now Obama has the freedom to force the GOP to OWN up. If he is only to be a one-termer anyway he does not have to worry or consider what 2012-2016 will look like. He has two full years to force the GOP to take ownership of their actions. The party of NO, must now be a party that makes policy.

I hope Obama does not move. I hope he forces, loudly, clearly and with as much passion, steelhard determination - I hope he forces Boehner to move instead. And if he cannot - then he will have not given up on his principles.
