2. Yep, he's right. Dems would've been out to the polls in droves if the prez...
...had been fighting all this time instead of capitulating, compromising, making deals, watering down meaningful legislation, etc.

10. If Obama had fought hard first and then settled for some reasonable
compromises, Republicans wouldn't have been able to run against their own ideas. An all out push for single payer health care might have resulted in a similar bill but it would have been the Republicans that worked the deals.

3. The American people want results and that does not happen in a divided Congress without compromise.
If the Republicans, continue to obstruct and no jobs are created, they will pay for it because they will be in charge in the House.

6. Any bets on what the MSM would say about a maverick DEM?
...and how many gullible DUers would buy into it because of their inherent negative bias against whatever Obama does?

I'd bet good $$$ that someone here would bitch and moan if Obama went cowboy.

7. Then they'd better grow up
Or learn to get along with others, before they start shooting at each other!

This just encourages polarization, which Americans likely complain about, too.

Gee, there is no compromise in Israel/Palestine. Maybe we could get real lucky and live like they do! :sarcasm:

That's why when Democrats stood firm on unemployment, which included extending the related stimulus benefits, and Republicans blocked it seven times, the media reports that it's "not good politics for Democrats."

Americans get ansy and don't give a damn that Republicans are blocking the bill, they just see Democrats not being able to pass it.

Republicans block = not good for Democrats

Democrats compromise = not good for Democrats.

The media suck, and they will be the first to accuse Democrats of being partisan.

Well, it's the Republicans turn, they control the House. Let's see if the formula holds up.

Republican do nothing, shut down the government = not good for Democrats

Democrats compromise = not good for Democrats.
