Marco Rubio, replacement for Republican party minority token.
Just explained on MSNBC by Ryan Grim from Huffington Post.

He replaces Bobby Jindal, who 'flamed out.'

Future Presidential or Vice-Presidential candidate from, oh so important, Florida.

My guess is that he will possibly be on the 2012 ticket and definitely on the 2016 ticket.

Marco Rubio President 2016. I'm calling it now.

1. Yes,,,
But they keep calling Rubio a "tea party" guy, but he is far from a tea party member, he is the great "minority" hope for the mainstream republican party! He was one of many mainstream republicans that "used" the tea party clan to get elected. What I wonder is how long will it take before the "real" teabaggers figure out he was using them?

3. The only difference between mainstream and full on Tea is how much you actually believe the crap
you are selling.

It's all the same crap. When people ask how we could elect Rand Paul here, I just point them to Jim Dumbing who endorsed him and whom he replaces and walk away. Paul might be LESS nutzoid.

OK and I'll grant most of the bagger pols lean toward the random yahoo off the street rather than professional ANYTHING ever.
I've seen many a mail room clerks with greater dedication to their craft than most of these they almost seem to have drafted from prisons, religious school lunchroom staff, mean old drunks, and crazy 1001 cat ladies.

2. I just checked out freeperille and there was a "question" if liberals would demand to
see Rubio's birth certificate because "a verbal flub by radio host Rush Limbaugh yesterday may have disheartened many, when he inadvertently suggested Rubio was not a natural-born citizen." Limbaugh "corrected" himself the next day.

4. I agree...Rubio, without question is the new star in GOP politics
Wins Florida in a 3 way race easily, fresh & young, looks good on camera, Hispanic, can speak 3 sentences without stumbling & mumbling without any funny facial grimaces ala Jindal.

However his performance in US Senate will determine if they will nominate him. And GOP has a habit of nominating whoever's turn it is next.

5. Rubio has a shot at it, no doubt about it...his guardian is none other than Jeb Bush.
There will be a fight to keep Palin out of the way and Rubio will be singing his song
I am the American Dream..blah blah blah.

7. No need to make my own OP, this one works well, OH, I was going to say, NOTHING says it's RUBIO more
than the fact he's giving the FIRST post-election response by the Republicans in response to the president going before him!

Folks, catch on - MARCO RUBIO is going to be their guy - he's YOUNG, and appealed down here to people of his race. He will be pushed by them, and I think he's a fascist in the making with right-wing beliefs and he's backed by the BFEE!

He will be their VP nod in 2012, no doubt whatsoever, if he doesn't embarrass himself, because they want Florida, and with Rick Scott as gov, they will probably win FL if they choose him. God help us... hasn't this country suffered enough?

8. By "his race", I hope tour mean "Cuban", He appealed to them an got their votes
But the rest of the hispanic voters in FL voted for Meek -Not Crist. Meek.

Being that the Cuban population in FL is so Grear, their votes made the difference. But nationwide? that's another story story
