Why Sarah Palin is anathema to American democracy...a personal view
On another board, some of us all know quite well, the following comment in defense of Sarah's latest "North Korea" gaffe was posted.

In response, I gave them hell, in the following way....I hope you will help me fill out the picture of what an enemy of our nation Sarah and Fox News have become!

QUITE DISTURBING? Whenever the people go after false prophets, it is not "quite disturbing" it is reaffirming our faith in human reason and rationality to call it for what it is!

"There is no line whatsoever when it comes to going after this woman" BECAUSE:

That's because she has no respect for the office of the President of the USA. She has no respect for the legitimate journalistic media. She has no respect for Democrats, no respect for people she doesn't consider "REAL AMERICANS". She is the most divisive person on the public media circuit today, making a very good living with her attractive body, with her misspelled twitter posts, with her speaking engagements only to fundamentalist, evangelical, socially conservative crowds who buy her books filled with lies and half-truths. She makes money dissing more than half of American voters who chose Obama OVER her. That is why there is "no line whatsoever when it comes to going after this woman". SHE, PUT HERSELF THERE!

Thank goodness there are thinking Americans standing up today against Sarah Palin's brand of rock-star media politics, a politics based upon sound-bite platitudes and misinformation, divisive derision, and outright lies.

She could have returned to her THEN CHOSEN CAREER AS GOVERNOR and done the job she was elected to do. Instead, she parades around her children like trophies, twitters acerbic put-downs of liberal Americans and our President, asks Muslim Americans to give up their rights to practice religious freedom. She is an anti-democracy theocratic self-centered disaster zone packaged in a female body, claiming she knows better than anyone else, and mis-stating the situation in Korea with Glenn Beck on national radio.

THAT is why "There is no line whatsoever when it comes to going after this woman" ! She is a very scary image who has attracted hundreds of thousands of angry people (just like her) without the ability to think logically nor to speak with deference and diplomacy and respect to fellow Americans with whom one disagrees, or toward the elected leaders of the USA.

That is why we have "no line whatsoever when it comes to going after this woman" She put herself out there just like a rock star, or a fake politician She has no sense of respect toward millions of fellow Americans, we have no obligation to respect her, either.

I hope you will help me fill out the picture of what an enemy of our nation Sarah and Fox News have become!

1. Pretending to understand complex dangerous situations that you not only don't understand
but can barely keep more than a couple of facts together in your head, let alone integrate dozens of multi-facted details - this is deceitful and dangerous. She probably thinks she can just hire specialists to do the intellectual heavy lifting, but we aren't going to get to vote on them. If she runs, she is the one some people will be voting for and that will particularly matter to them when it comes to decision time in a (God forbid!) Palin administration, so it is supremely dishonest of her to think her limited abilities don't matter.

2. But the original statement is bullshit. There most definitely is a line the MSM won't cross with
Palin. If there were, they'd treat her like the absolute hideous screaming bad JOKE she is, instead of reporting on her like she's a normal person. And they'd question her very, very questionable story about her most recent supposed pregnancy.

3. Why Sarah Palin's North Korea Flub Matters
Why Sarah Palin's North Korea Flub Matters
"Why Sarah Palin's North Korea Flub Matters"

" Her supporters are right. Saying "North" instead of "South" is something that any of us could easily do.But here's the thing: Any of us did not stand up two years ago and claim we were qualified to fill a job that is a heartbeat away from the American presidency. We haven't written books, made speeches, endorsed candidates and spoken to the (mostly right-wing) media as if we were policy experts. And we haven't been scouting office space in Iowa for a 2012 presidential run. In short, more should be expected of Sarah Palin than any of us, based on how she has portrayed herself, and how she is treated by the media. The real story, though, isn't that Palin said "North" instead of "South." Let's be honest: Vice President Joe Biden could have just as easily blown a line like that. No, the real story is that Palin was discussing a complex, precarious, highly dangerous issue as if she were an expert, even though she clearly isn't.
