Stitches on the bottom lip of U.S. President Barack Obama are seen as he speaks about wage freezes in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building near the White House in Washington, November 29, 2010. Obama received 12 stitches to his lip on November 26 after being hit in the mouth during a basketball game.

RNPS IMAGES OF THE YEAR 2010 - Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro listens to a question during a meeting of the National Assembly in Havana August 7, 2010. Marine Cpl. Phillip Duggan is out of the hospital and made a toy donation Saturday, friends said, 24 hours after he was attacked by a suspected shoplifter outside Augusta's Best Buy.

Reservist Duggan, 24, and other Marines were outside the store on Walton Way Extension about 1:30 p.m. Friday asking for donations to Toys for Tots. Authorities say Tracey Attaway, 39, of Waynesboro, Ga., stuffed a laptop down his pants and grabbed two cameras before making a break for the door.

The Marines and Best Buy loss-prevention tried to stop Attaway, who pulled out a knife and stabbed Duggan in the left side of his back, according to a report. Attaway was arrested on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

Duggan was taken to Eisenhower Army Medical Center and was released after receiving stitches. He made a toy donation Saturday at the Walmart on Bobby Jones Expressway.
