Look at what happened with the cat food commission: the two demagogue leaders released a report that was their opinion but did NOT have the approval of the commission. So what's the point of a commission? Commissions are supposed to come up with an intelligent non-political solution based on the work of the whole commission. Otherwise, it's just an op-ed piece.
