1. I agree with the general premise - he is not showing strength as a leader

9. For the zillionth time, all a President is supposed to "lead"
is the executive branch. Would the people who spout this meme off so constantly admit they have the authoritarian follower personality more suited to those who live in a country without a constitution like ours and a bill of rights? That they are looking for a benign dictator daddy who will make it all OK for them?

Bush was a "strong leader" Or so he said. Is that what we want?

Leave that language to the Republicans and their authoritarian followers.

10. so I guess you would not credit Obama as a leader in terms of
progress with healthcare, the economy, or our departure from Iraq.

Not sure there are a lot that would agree with that. I think your definition is a bit narrow.

11. I would credit Congress for health care, just as I would blame them
for not coming up with a public option! I know what the system is and I think it's a good one. If Obama can't force Congress to come up with a public option, guess what? I accept that, because that's what our system is meant to do. I don't rail about the POTUS not having those powers because I am satisfied that he doesn't! No matter who he is or what party he is from!

12. leadership need not be consider a bad thing
Gandhi can be considered a spiritual leader.

Martin Luther King a civil rights leader.

Nelson Mandela a political leader.

All leaders need not be as authoritarian as you seem to want to paint them.

2. I don't agree 100%, but there's a lot of things to
consider and a lot of things that make sense.

There is something wrong at the core of this White House, and perhaps the truth is so obvious (and obviously painful) that I cannot see it for what it is. Could it be that he never intended to fight for progressive health care reform? Could it be that he compromises even before a demand from his opponents is even made? Could it be that he much prefers the acceptance of GOPers, rather than the respect and support of those who "brung him to the dance?" It seems that he goes out of his way to piss on his base. I cannot understand that behavior. I cannot see how that provides him with any advantage.

No matter how often he compromises his position, his principles, and his promises, the GOP will still hate him. Every time he gives an inch, they will demand another foot. You would think he would learn from past behavior. You would think he might listen to the GOP's present promises. And, you would think he would try to gather his base back into the fold. And you would be wrong.

21. I don't think he's a "milquetoast". I think he's a LIAR and a FRAUD.
-edit-

Now he wants a pay freeze for federal employees, announced just in time for Christmas - and only two months after proposing to give them a modest raise.

Did the Republican leadership pop him in the mouth, too?

Obama's decision will be a devastating blow to the Washington area's economy, not to mention a betrayal of some of his most loyal supporters and the nation's most dedicated public servants. After throwing nearly a trillion dollars to rescue banks and big business, he turns around and picks the pocket of everyday working people.

Has there ever been a president who treated his sworn enemies so much better than his proven friends?

What a milquetoast.

18. The burn!
It burns! :o

(If I was feeling particularly snarky, I would say that the brother just intimated that Obama went from being a black man to being a white woman in about 1/10th the time it took Michael Jackson, but even I'm not that cold. :P )
