The average working family will bring home an extra $20 a week in their pay checks if this deal goes through. Mean old Obama can force you take the money, but he CANT force you to KEEP it. If you are opposed to this plan, what will you do with the extra cash? Donate it to a charity for the poor? Give money to the arts (a community the GOP is already threatening to take money from)? Raise campaign cash for the progressive, deficit-busting candidate of your choice?

How will you take this lemon and turn it into lemonade?

5. But according to your OP, if someone thought those checks were
just reckless, irresponsible bribes to voters, you are a hypocrite if you used the money. Correct?

8. Must be nice to have that kind of cash burning a hole in your pocket
that you can just hand it over to millionaires.

10. I gave it to election committees, not millionaires.
It did not become the personal property of the candidates. Beyond that, yes it was nice to be able to do that, although in retrospect, I wish we hadn't. If we kept all the money that we gave to candidates, the only thing that would be different is that we would have a new kitchen now.

6. Save it
Like I've done since early 2001. Continue to live on $40K a year plus travel expenses.
