BREAKING NEWS: Media suddenly "concerned" with what Liberal Progressives/Democrats think!
Like clockwork, every so often, the Corporate media suddenly seems to care about what Progressives think about one of the President's move.

This appears to be one of those times.

Of course, if Progressives professional Leftists were OK with the President, then back in their box
they would go.

Examples:
When the White House announced that it won't allow offshore oil drilling for at least 7 years in the eastern Gulf of Mexico or off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts last week, were progressive professional Leftists who approved of this move featured on the news? You know, the pundit shows like the MSNBC and CNN line up? Cause I don't remember seeing any Progressive Professional Leftist on those shows to praise the President for that move.
If you are unaware of this, here.... http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/12/01/1951806/white-house-to-announce-no-offshore.html#ixzz16tNXZjjZ

In essence, the media "uses" Progressives like a tool....especially when Progressives
don't like what the President has done. When they do, a pin could drop, and we would know it.

Why does the media only feature Democrats when they disagree with the President? What is the rationale for that being the only time, we see Democrats on the Television? when they are shatting on the President?

Please explain it to me....

1. Pretty clear to me. Do Progressives realized they're being used by the MSM,
or are they past caring?

3. I don't think they care of how they are manipulated,
Kind of like voters who vote against their own best interest.

16. Sound like selective coverage, not manipulation...
most here know what the corporate media is about - but thanks for pointing it out to those who may not notice it.

18. It's both......
Notice in the press conference, the media is asking the exact questions that progressives have been raising here for a while. Why now? Because the media wants the Left to hate this President.....
because the media, like Republicans, want a Republican to defeat Obama in 2012. That's what they are there to do.....and that's manipulating the electorate via selective coverage.

25. Agreed.
The media (transnationals) want progressives to hate the President. Check.

The media (transnationals) want a Republican President in 2012 to deliver them the goods.

We are no smarter than the Teabaggers. We're all so easily manipulated.

26. It's not just the traditional "corporate media" but the liberal blogs, as well.
We're no smarter than the Teabaggers.

It's deliberate manipulation across the board. After all, there are billions, and even trillions in terms of the large investment banks, of dollars at stake. Can't have a smart Dem President getting in the way of that gravy train.

7. Great observation!!
The media only pays attention to the liberals when the liberals are angry at the President.

8. The Tea Party is always heard.
The DLC is always heard.

I guess when progressives get a chance to shout something out from their incommunicado confinement, they take it. And the only time they get to do it is when the President has just done something egregiously right-wing.

It's a bitch.

10. Why do you think it is? That the only time we get to hear progressives,
is when they dislike what Democrats are doing?

Do you think there is a reason for that, beyond that it is a fact?

19. I think liberal voices are shut out of the media
except when they serve the purpose of advancing the messages which it is the business of the media to disseminate.

manipulated at all. Like I said last week I will vote for him, for the judges and understand policy wise he will lean elite every time.

14. I rarely watch either these days........but it doesn't take much watching to conclude what's up.....
and whether we ignore the media or not, it keeps on ticking.....
and keeps manipulating, and progressives don't seem to mind being used.....
to defeat their own interest in the long run. Does that make them smart,
or simply folks that don't "care" as much as they propose......

12. just like this morning on Morning Asswipe... I mean Morning Joe...
He rants like the smug bastard he is about how Obama MUST MUST MUST move to the right to govern because, after all, we're a center-right country and he MUST have help from Republicans to run the country.

So when Obama is forced into a compromise - because Republicans refuse to cut taxes for only the middle class, and refuse to extend unemployment, suddenly, Honest Joe is OUTRAGED that Obama is breaking his campaign promise OH MY GOD, he's breaking his campaign promises! It's the end of liberalism (that last part is exactly what he said this morning - "the end of liberalism" - even Mika Moron had to roll her eyes at that).

I freakin' hate that slimey bastard, and I only watch that show because I can't stand CNN in the morning.

Or at night, for that matter.

24. seems to me the Media Chorus of Pundits is singing in unison about how out of touch the
Professional Left is....from Tweety to Lawrence O'Donnell from FOX to CNN -- any criticism from the left is marginalized and the President who caved to the interest of the super-wealthy is seen as a mature thinking moderate.

How moderate and prudent for an elected official to put the interest of the weathiest Americans first...meanwhile, the idiots on the left as outraged by this display of prudence.

Now for these commercial messages from BigAuto, BigPharma, BigInsurance, BigPetrol, .....
