START ratification, debt ceiling increase--what do you think our strategy should be if these are held hostage, as the UI extension was? What are we willing to give up, and what are we willing to fight over?

Preferably without a bunch of one-liners calling Obama a spineless corporatist plant, or calling progressives basement-dweller crypto-racists.
