Things are better than ever. Our economy is sound, working America is vital, and we're at peace.

I apologize for being a purist: I have seen the light.

9. "So you're recommending Obama propose welfare reform?"
Amazing isn't it? The other day in response to the Obama's wage freeze, Clinton's speech about the elimination of 200,000 federal jobs was cited.

What the hell is going on?

8. You are absolutely correct.
That is exactly what Pres. Obama should have done.

It is now up to the House and Senate to save Obama from himself and give themselves a shot at reelection in 2012.

My goodness, we voted for 'hope' and 'change' in 2008 and all we are getting is a President who does backroom dealing and dickering with the Repuglicans.

12. and others quieted, perhaps...
I realize we must be respectful here, but there simply is not much to be happy about, and the worst thing that he did today at that impromptu press conference was to shoot the messengers who helped him as a candidate.

There simply is no room to "deal" with Republicans, especially the kind of deals we've seen since day one. It is more simple when it comes to how this country survives as a nation.

18. Granted, and the ferocity directed against him was pretty fierce.
Likewise with the obstructionist tactics of the Republican Party. And well financed by Scaife et al. But that was NOTHING, compared to the obstruction and foaming at the mouth HATRED that's now directed against Obama! Not to mention the HUGE spike in death threats, many of them quite real. And Clinton did NOT have too many problems with the Blue Dogs within his own party. How could he? He was essentially a Blue Dog himself!

Reagan & Bush41 did MUCH damage to the economy, but they didn't leave it a basket case, like Bush43 did!
