The NRC may possibly consider Barack Obama as their next candidate....(Sarcasm)...That's how I'm feeling right now.

1. I'm confused. Was the President just called a republican?
Nah, not on DU.

6. If he was a blue dog, he would have left all tax cuts expire and done nothing
for the unemployed.

5. He's a Democrat in name who fights to pass Repo objectives when it
comes to health care, education, the military, the national security state, and taxation.

4. I was waiting if anybody might suggest that Obama might as well just be a Republican
Of course, there's absolutely no way that the evil Kenyan Socialist and "community organizer" would EVER be welcomed into today's Republican Party and if he was,you can bet on a massive revolt from the Tea Party crowd would soon follow- along with an immediate "Draft Sarah" campaign. Nah. President Obama may not be a real progressive nor was he, as Fox News once described him in 2008, "the most liberal Senator in Congress", and he may be pretty frustrated with the left-wing of the Democratic Party right now but his background, race, and overall political orientation is apostasy as far as modern-day Republicans are concerned. He'd NEVER be welcome there and I'm sure that he has absolutely no desire to become a Republican (nor is one at heart IMHO).
